Terry Bradshaw wasn’t afraid to show his soft side to his FOX NFL co-stars amid the holiday spirit before Sunday’s NFL games. But he quickly returned to the playfully beloved analyst he’s grown to be this season and reminded his cast why he’s celebrated for bringing laughter on set.
FOX NFL Sunday began with a brisk wintery touch in the studio. The backdrop was a winter wonderland lake with a frozen ice logo displayed on the screen, and the analysis desk was decked out with Christmas trees and ornaments. Show host Curt Menafee thought he’d open the program with Holiday cheer, which initially tugged at the heartstrings of his panelists.
“Alright, guys, it is the most wonderful time, I guess, every week when I’m with you guys,” he said before giving Bradshaw a tap on the hand to show his sincerity. As the crew let out a collective “aww,” Bradshaw used his trademark flair riffing ability to suck the air out of the soft-natured moment and bring it back up to the humorous vibes that the show is known for.

“Aw, that’s the nicest thing a person could say, right? It’s good to be with you. It’s good to be with my friends over here,” said Bradshaw, warming up the group for his punchline. Through Menefee’s sincerity, Michael Strahan saw that he only made the statement, hoping to receive a Christmas present in return.
Bradshaw then asked, “What do you want, bud?” which prompted Menefee to joke and say, “Is that all I have to say? I don’t even have to sit on your lap. I like that. The football Hall of Famer responded, “We’ll get you a brand new set of golf clubs that will take that slice out.”
The comment earned a laugh from Menafee, followed by an explosion of laughter in the room, including Strahan, Howie Long, and Jimmy Johnson. “I don’t know if those exist yet,” he replied, taking a jab at his own game on the links. Menafee’s love for golf is well-documented. He previously hosted the U.S. Open and invested his money in the game’s future.

Bradshaw’s slice joke fit right in with Menegee’s substantial investment in Coach Labs, the golf tech company that created the DuoTrac Golf device, which ironically gives players real-time feedback on their swing.
“Like 99.99 percent of all golfers, I don’t play as often as I want, but want to still find a way to get the most out of my game. When I heard about DuoTrac’s ability to give you immediate, real-time feedback on everything from your club face angle to your stance, I knew that it was something that could help me right away,” he said in a press release.
“Instead of wondering what I did wrong and hoping to fix it through trial and error (or wait until I can get a pro to watch my swing), I can straighten things out right then and there. Being a fan OF DuoTrac made me want to be involved WITH DuoTrac.”
