Terry Bradshaw left his fellow ‘FOX NFL Sunday’ panelists baffled after attempting a Boston accent before butchering the pronunciation of a player’s name on Sunday’s pregame show.
Four-time Super Bowl champion Bradshaw was talking up the Seattle Seahawks and welcoming the news that starting center Olu Oluwatimi had been given the all-clear to suit up for Sunday’s crucial game against the Minnesota Vikings at Lumen Field.
But both Bradshaw’s attempt at impersonating co-host Howie Long’s New England accent and pronouncing Oluwatimi’s name left plenty to be desired.

“I think Geno Smith is one of the guys I like watching play. I love the great northwest. It’s beautiful up there. Seattle, or as Howie likes to say, See-attle, because he’s from Boston,” the ever-jovial Bradshaw said.
Oakland Raiders legend Long laughed and replied: “That was the worst Boston accent,” but the Pittsburgh Steelers icon was not done.
Bradshaw continued: “Don’t interrupt me, I’m on a roll here. But I do believe that See-attle is winning out the next three games, they’re in the playoffs right there at 8-6. You can’t allow your quarterback to keep getting hit like Geno’s been hit. He’s also thrown four interceptions inside the 20-yard line, or the hot zone, the red zone, call it what you want to call it.

“You can not turn the ball over there. But I think having their… and hang with me on this one, folks.” Bradshaw then looked down at a piece of paper and attempted to pronounce the game of Oluwatimi.
But the 76-year-old failed miserably, pronouncing it “Olubateeme.” Host Curt Menefee needed to step in, telling Bradshaw: “No, no, no, no, no. OK. Just their new center. Just leave it alone.” Bradshaw replied: “You didn’t think I could do it. See I just wanted to prove I could do it on TV.”
Long asked Bradshaw why he “Stuck his head in the fire” by trying to say Oluwatimi, given the Louisiana native’s well-documented struggles with tricky pronunciations. “I just like turning that dial, Howie,” a laughing Bradshaw responded.
Bradshaw had made his fondness of Smith and the Seahawks well known over the course of the season, and a victory on Sunday would go a long way towards securing their place in the playoffs.
Mike Macdonald’s team sits in second place in the NFC West behind the Los Angeles Rams, with both teams holding an 8-6 record. But they face one of their toughest tests of the season when they host the 12-2 Vikings at Lumen Field on Sunday. FOX has the coverage of the game, which kicks off at 4:05 p.m. ET.
