Terry Bradshaw was left red-faced after he wrongly predicted that the Pittsburgh Steelers would defeat the Baltimore Ravens on FOX NFL Sunday.
The Ravens secured a playoff berth for the third consecutive year with a 34-17 victory, with this win also denying their opponents the AFC North title. This is the 12th time that Baltimore has made the postseason spectacle during John Harbaugh’s long reign as head coach.
The Ravens are now tied with the Steelers at the top of the division as they chase the AFC North title for a second year running. However, Fox analyst Bradshaw did not seem to fancy their chances of defeating their rivals in the lead up to the clash as he predicted victory for the hosts at M&T Bank Stadium.

Giving their predictions before the game, the FOX NFL Sunday panel discussed how the foresaw the game playing out. Jimmie Johnson was on hand to predict a win for Baltimore. He said: “I think they change that today. I think Baltimore correct their mistakes – Baltimore comes out on top.”
After the Ravens had fell to two defeats in their last four outings, Bradshaw was unsure that they would have enough to defeat their next opponents, however. Making his forecast, he contended: “You gotta get ’em out of your mind and it’s hard to do. Pittsburgh, as co-star Michael Strahan added: “It’s hard to break the curse.”
As the Ravens reached the playoffs again under the tutelage of the aforementioned Harbaugh, the head coach reflected on the hard work of his players in achieving their objective. “It’s huge, I rejoice in the fact that we made the playoffs, because it’s tough to do, it’s really hard to do.”

“Look around the league at how hard it is to do. I’m so proud of these guys,” he continued, as he spoke of his pride. “And we have goals, the first goal is to win the next game, we say. So everything we do all year is to win the next game. The second goal is to make the playoffs.
“The third goal is to win the division, the AFC North. And then the final goal is to win the championship, the Super Bowl. We got two of them tonight, we won the next game and we made the playoffs.”
Meanwhile, star quarterback Lamar Jackson also spoke positively after the Ravens made the playoffs for the sixth season out of seven. Heralding his teammates for their efforts during the campaign so far, he paid tribute to his colleagues as he spoke of the challenges that they have been able to overcome this term.
He added: “It means a lot, I feel like we’ve been busting our behind all season long, had ups and downs throughout this whole season, but to clinch the playoffs against a great team like that is great. It means we’re moving in the right direction.”
