Conor McGregor has revealed that he’ll be tuning into Bare Knuckle FC instead of the much-anticipated heavyweight showdown between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.
The ‘Gypsy King’ faced off against Usyk for the second time in 2024 at the Kingdom Arena in Saudi Arabia, following his first professional boxing defeat to the undefeated Ukrainian at the same venue earlier in May. Usyk made history by becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999, adding Fury’s WBC belt to his collection of WBA (Super), WBO, IBO, and IBF titles.
An estimated crowd of 40,000 fans tuned in to witness the match live from Riyadh, while millions more will be watching worldwide via pay-per-view.

UFC sensation McGregor sidestepped the spectacle however, choosing instead to be enveloped in the gritty atmosphere of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship event in Florida. The mixed martial arts superstar made waves on X when he declared: “We are in some wild action with the @bareknucklefc tonight! Live from the Hard Rock, Hollywood, Florida! On Dazn.”
Given his company’s vested interest in the BKFC—McGregor Sports and Entertainment having grabbed a slice of the ownership pie this April—it’s hardly a shocker he’s throwing his weight behind the sun-soaked brawl night, reports the Irish Star.
While light heavyweight champ Jared Warren is geared up to keep his title defense alive against Mike Richman, flyweight queen Christine Ferea stares down challenger Christine Vicens to retain her crown. Yet, even deep in the heat of bare-knuckle battles, McGregor couldn’t resist a nod to Tyson Fury’s epic rematch with Oleksandr Usyk.
He later posted: “I pray for peace in the world and war in the ring!”
This comes amid whispers of McGregor’s own dance back into the boxing spotlight, as rumors swirl of an upcoming exhibition match with internet personality Logan Paul—a stark contrast to his 2017 professional bout with boxing titan Floyd Mayweather in which he was halted in the tenth round.
