Fans of the beloved TNT show “Inside the NBA” finally received the news they were hoping for about the future of the program, which had been uncertain in recent months. After TNT lost its rights to broadcast NBA games starting next season, the future of “Inside the NBA” appeared to be in jeopardy.

However, according to The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand and Jenna West, a recent settlement between ESPN and TNT will allow the Emmy-winning program to continue—this time, on ABC and ESPN.

The agreement ensures that the iconic basketball show will continue to entertain viewers and provide its signature mix of humor, analysis, and camaraderie.

The legendary panel featuring Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, and Charles Barkley will all reportedly stay on board as part of the move to ABC and ESPN. While Shaquille O’Neal still needs to finalize his contract extension, insiders say he is fully committed to continuing his role on the show.

This means that fans will still be able to enjoy the dynamic chemistry and humor of the entire panel, which has become synonymous with the program over the years.

The agreement between ESPN and TNT, however, will only apply within the United States. TNT will retain the global rights to broadcast “Inside the NBA” outside the U.S., allowing international fans to continue enjoying the program just as they have in the past.

Charles Barkley, who had received numerous offers to move to other networks, has been vocal about his loyalty to TNT and his love for the show. Despite the uncertainty around the broadcast rights, Barkley remained hopeful that the show would find a way to continue.

The new agreement is a testament to his dedication to “Inside the NBA” and his passion for providing fans with a unique and entertaining perspective on basketball.

Barkley first joined “Inside the NBA” in 2000, shortly after retiring from his playing career. Since then, he has become an integral part of the show, known for his candid opinions and humorous interactions with his co-hosts.

Shaquille O’Neal joined the panel in 2011, adding another layer of star power and entertainment value. Together with Ernie Johnson and Kenny Smith, the team has created a show that transcends traditional sports analysis and has won multiple Emmy Awards for its originality and entertainment value.

The news that “Inside the NBA” will continue—albeit on a different network—is undoubtedly a win for basketball fans. The program has become a cultural phenomenon, with countless memorable moments and a loyal following.

The transition to ABC and ESPN ensures that fans will continue to have access to one of the most iconic sports shows on television, complete with the humor, insight, and camaraderie that have made it a fan favorite for over two decades.
