The Miami Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill and Odell Beckham Jr. may not have totally been on the same page when they celebrated Hill’s touchdown reception in Monday’s 23-15 win over the Los Angeles Rams.
The pair of wideouts appeared to mimic a pro wrestling move—what move is anybody’s guess.
Hill quipped on X that he “never will plan a celebration with Odell again”:
It looked as though Hill was going for an RKO, the finisher popularized by WWE’s Randy Orton. Beckham went ahead and clotheslined the eight-time Pro Bowler instead.
Maybe Orton’s foes in WWE could take a page out of OBJ’s playbook.
Hill came out a little worse for wear while basking in his first touchdown since Week 1.
“It felt good, until Odell slammed my back out, man, you know?” he said to NFL Network’s Taylor Bisciotti. “That kind of hurt me, so I’ll probably miss Wednesday practice with that one. But it’s always good to score in the NFL, it’s always been my dream to play at the biggest level, and here I am scoring on Monday night. So very grateful, very thankful for this opportunity.”
Hill will presumably be back in the end zone at some point again this season. He’d be advised to steer clear of Beckham when that happens.
