ESPN analyst Jason Kelce changed out of his suit to challenge three United States Navy Seal veterans to a push-up contest ahead of ‘Monday Night Football.’
During ‘Monday Night Countdown’ on ESPN ahead of the game between the Los Angeles Rams and Miami Dolphins, Veterans Day was honored and three former Navy Seal members agreed to face-off in the end zone. Kelce, a former Super Bowl winner with the Philadelphia Eagles, also agreed to compete.
Kelce was originally wearing his suit, but as the commercial break ended he was seen wearing a yellow Golds Gym vest. The gym is famous for producing some of the best bodybuilders, with actor Arnold Schwarzenegger a former member.
The competition then started, with one minute on the clock to perform as many push-ups as possible. Kelce performed well and managed 54, but was humbled by the veterans.

The winning veteran ended with 93 push-ups, while the others had 83 and 77. Kelce was content with his total and said “I’m taking that” after previously shouting during the competition “I’m so fat” as he began to struggle.
Kelce has made the most of being in California over the weekend, as he celebrated the Eagles improving to 7-2 by drinking with fans in the area. In a video uploaded to X, Kelce was seen behind a bar taking orders while also enjoying some beers for himself.
It’s been a major career change for Kelce after he announced his retirement from football at the end of last season. Kelce spent all of his 13 NFL seasons with the Eagles after being selected in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, winning Super Bowl LII in 2017.
Kelce retired as one of the greatest centers in NFL history, as seen by how the Eagles have been forced to alter their infamous ‘tush push’ that was so successful. In the past two seasons, the Eagles were almost flawless when within two yards on fourth down, as calls were made for the play to be banned.
This season, the Eagles haven’t been able to emulate the move efficiently as Kelce was a crucial part of the process, but the team is expected to enjoy a better season than last year. The Eagles were flying at 10-1 last season but ended up losing five of the last six games before suffering an early exit in the playoffs.
Kelce’s final season was ended by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who cruised to a 32-9 win, but he ended up attending Kansas City Chiefs games for the remainder of the playoffs. Kelce saw his brother, Travis, win Super Bowl LVIII before later committing to work for ESPN as an NFL analyst.
