Tom Brady picked the aftermath of the NFC Championship win over the Green Bay Packers over his Super Bowl triumphs as his “greatest football memory” – because of the touching moment shared with his son.
Back in February 2023, Brady announced his retirement from the NFL after 23 seasons. The 47-year-old won an unprecedented seven Super Bowls over an illustrious career that spanned two decades with the New England Patriots – where he won six of his championships – and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Brady, a five-time Super Bowl MVP and three-time NFL MVP, called time on his legendary career to spend more time with his children following his public divorce from partner Gisele Bundchen. His love for his children is clear to see as he declared a moment with his son Jack as his “greatest football memory.”

In the playoffs following the 2020 regular season, Brady’s Buccaneers rolled into iconic Lambeau Field to face Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Brady threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns as the Bucs held on to clinch a 31-26 victory and punch their ticket to Super Bowl LV.
While Brady has hoisted the Lombardi Trophy on seven occasions, enjoying many moments etched in Super Bowl history against the Atlanta Falcons, St. Louis Rams, and Seattle Seahawks among others, he selected the win in Green Bay as his favorite memory from his career. The reason? The presence of Jack, who is now aged 17.
“My greatest football memory is having Jack in the stands after the Bucs-Green Bay victory when he came down and gave me a hug,” Brady said in a video posted to X by the NFL. “That was probably one of the greatest days of my life.”
Given Brady’s unparalleled career, fans may be surprised to see the win over Green Bay is his greatest memory. But along with son Jack being in the stands, the win also sent Brady to the Super Bowl in his first season with the Bucs.

His decision to leave New England, where he spent two decades and won six Super Bowl titles alongside head coach Bill Belichick, rocked the sports world. But Brady delivered, joining a team that failed to make the playoffs the year before and turning them into champions.
For many, the victory over the Packers – and then the win over Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs – cemented Brady’s status as the greatest of all time. No matter how many rings Mahomes wins going forward, Brady will always have his Super Bowl triumph over the 29-year-old phenom.
The win over the Packers was also Brady’s only playoff game against Rodgers. Brady came out on top, which adds another layer to the significance of the win and what it meant to his legacy.
These days, Brady is currently working with play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt on FOX Sports’ top NFL broadcasting team. He is in the first season of a blockbuster 10-year deal worth $375 million that he signed with the network back in 2022 after retiring for the first time.
