Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes set aside their political differences as they supported the Kansas City Chiefs in action on the eve of Election Day.

The duo were spotted together in a VIP suite during the Chiefs’ overtime win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Arrowhead Stadium. The Monday Night Football clash was played on the eve of a hard-fought election which appears to have tested their relationship.

The wife of Super Bowl-winning quarterback Patrick Mahomes went public with her support for Donald Trump’s campaign in September. Brittany liked multiple posts endorsing Trump and JD Vance and even received a shoutout from the Republican nominee at one of his rallies.

Meanwhile, Swift, girlfriend of tight end Travis Kelce, went public with her backing for Democrat nominee Kamala Harris. In the aftermath of Swift’s endorsement, the pop megastar has been involved in mocking remarks with the GOP over the country being run by “childless cat ladies” and even seeing Trump publicly reveal his hatred for the musician on social media.

Swift started the game sitting between Kelce’s mom Donna and her own mother Andrea before she was snapped sitting next to Brittany. Regarding their political allegiances, Patrick’s mom Randi, went public with her support for Trump by wearing a MAGA hat. The Chiefs’ quarterback has stated he will never say who he is voting for.

Despite the polls closing the following day, Taylor and Brittany were snapped next to each other in a sign of solidarity for the Chiefs. The duo had to endure a nervous encounter as Mahomes overcame an early injury scare to inspire the Chiefs to a 30-24 victory in overtime to extend Kansas’ perfect record to 8-0.

During the opening stages of the NFL season, a potential rift between the two was said to have formed regarding their political difference. Having regularly watched the Chiefs last season and spending time together with their couples during the off-season, Taylor and Brittany were not spotted reuniting until the U.S. Open tennis final in September.

Brittany, who is pregnant with the couple’s third child, was reportedly set to reverse her decision to vote for Trump following comments made by the former president about Swift. After Trump published “I hate Taylor Swift,” on his Truth Social platform, Brittany considered retracting her support and possibly not voting Republican.

The relationship between the Mahomes and Swift and Kelce is one that has seen the two Chiefs stars grow together like “brothers,” while their partners have struck up a “superb” relationship according to a previous report by The U.S. Sun. The outlet claimed that a source told them that the Mahomes “first choice” to be godparents to their latest arrival is Taylor and Travis.

“Patrick and Brittany love to spend time with Travis and Taylor,” the source is reported as saying. “They see them as the best people to be the godfather and godmother of the next child.” It was added that the couple are already seen by the Mahomes two children as auntie and uncle.
