CBS Sports reporter Amanda Balionis revealed that the Carolina Panthers motto was “putting it all together” as they broke their five-game losing streak with a win over the New Orleans Saints.
The journalist was in attendance as the home team finally arrested its slide during a fiercely contested clash at Bank of America Stadium. Earning a crucial 23-22 win, running back Chuba Hubbard proved the hero after a 16-yard touchdown run which gave the eventual victors a slender fourth quarter lead.
With a trip to Germany now in the offing for the North Carolina outfit, the result lifted them from the foot of the NFC South standings and into third. The Panthers have tallied up a 2-7 record so far this campaign, with their timely victory potentially providing a springboard after a spell of mixed form.

Taking to social media following the trip to see the Panthers in action, reporter Balionis revealed the mantra players have adopted during a period of mercurial fortunes. Reflecting on the game, she provided some analysis as well as some details on the atmosphere in the Carolina locker room, saying: “Down to the wire and the Panthers come out on top!
“Bryce Young and this offense looked the strongest they have all year, snapping a five game losing streak,” she continued, before revealing the team’s motto, adding: “‘Putting it all together’ was the motto and they look to keep it rolling against the Giants in Germany next week.”
Previous to this Balionis conducted an interview with Bryce Young as the quarterback emphasized the importance of the victory, saying: “This is huge. One game, obviously, we need to keep building, doing things, clean stuff up but for 24 hours we’ll enjoy it and then clean up on Monday.”

When it came to teammate Hubbard’s touchdown, he said: “Great job upfront. I had all day, great job with protection. X [Xavier Leggette] ran a great route and made that play in a big moment, and for me, [it was about] trusting my guys. Great call, great execution all along and we gotta keep stringing them along.”
The star ended proceeding having completed 16 of 26 passes for 171 yards and a touchdown on his return to the fray after being benched for Andy Dalton earlier in the campaign. Describing what he learned during his spell on the sidelines, he sadi: “Just being more comfortable in the system.
“Spending all the time watching and growing, trying to take mental reps, and really just trying to take ownership of the system. Still got improvements to make, but we’re definitely great for this one.”
After a successful outing in front of a rapturous home crowd, Young’s glee was plain to see following the win as he was asked by Balionis if his smile would be gone anytime soon. He replied: “No, probably not. We’ll be back to work soon.”
