BREAKING NEWS: Aaron Rodgers’ Jets Struggles Highlighted by Unflattering Zach Wilson Comparison .giang

Aaron Rodgers had an improved performance for the New York Jets in Week 8, but it wasn’t enough to see the team defeat the struggling New England Patriots.

The loss to the Patriots, who had just one win coming into the game, saw them fall to a 2-6 record after initially starting with a 2-1 record – losing five games straight.

The loss means that the Jets now have the worst record in the entire AFC, in a year in which they were seen as Super Bowl contenders, with Rodgers now having a worse win percentage as the Jets starting quarterback Zach Wilson – the player that the team were do desperate to move away from.

As Jets starting quarterback, Wilson had a 35 percent win rate while Rodgers’ is now at 33 percent since joining the Jets last offseason.

Of course, Rodgers played in just one game in the 2023 season after suffering an Achilles tendon tear – with Wilson coming into the game to defeat the Buffalo Bills. That win actually accounts for Rodgers’, officially, after he started the game despite Wilson’s heroics to gain the victory on Monday night football.

Rodgers put in a better performance in their loss to the Patriots, completing 17-of-28 passes for two touchdowns and no interceptions with 233 yards, but failed to drive the team down the field New England scored a touchdown – losing in Massachusetts in a game that had been seen as a must-win.

Speculation is already arising on Rodgers’ future with the team, set to be under contract next season with some believing the Jets could cut him.

The Jets cutting Rodgers would be a costly move, with the quarterback set to count for $60 million of their salary cap, being spread out over the next four years. Alternatively, the Jets could decide to eat $49 million in dead salary cap space in 2025 while being free from his contract in 2026.

Meanwhile, Wilson remains the backup quarterback to Bo Nix on the Denver Broncos, with reports emerging in recent weeks that he could be cut with the team unhappy with their situation behind its starter.
