LIV Golf’s Anthony Kim made a homophobic comment and spouted unsubstantiated domestic assault claims in response to a video by Kamala Harris’ husband Doug Emhoff.
The 39-year-old LIV Golf player unleashed a bizarre rant on social media as he reacted to a video uploaded by Emhoff alongside his daughter Ella, actor Ben Stiller and TV show host Andy Cohen endorsing fathers of girls to vote Democrat. The video began with all three men expressing their love for their daughters before explaining their reasons for voting for Harris in the election next month.
Emhoff and Ella ended the video by taking aim at the Dobbs decision two years ago, which stripped the constitutional right to abortion and eliminated federal standards on abortion access that had been in place for nearly 50 years in states across the country.
Reacting to the video, Kim reshared the post on his X page with an obscene caption that questioned the sexuality of the men in the video and labeled claims at Emhoff. Kim then finished off the post by endorsing Republican candidate Donald Trump to return to The White House.

“There R at least 2 dudes here that take it in the butt (shrugging emoji). No problem with gays just stop lying about it. Y hasn’t Doug this amazing “#girldad” addressed hitting his gf? Positive side is it prob didn’t hurt. This will prob be the next #victoriasecret ad (laughing face emoji) #trump2024 #mentalhealth,” Kim wrote.
The claims he made about Emhoff could refer to allegations made by three anonymous sources, who allegedly told the Daily Mail that three of her friends told the publication Emhoff assaulted his ex-girlfriend.
According to those anonymous sources, Emhoff is said to have allegedly struck the woman in the face so hard she spun around while they were waiting in a valet line at night after a May 2012 Cannes Film Festival event in France. One of the friends told the outlet that the woman called him immediately after the incident where she described the assault while crying in her taxi. Emhoff has not addressed these claims and they have not been verified.
US Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff had assault claims made against him
The publication had previously made revelations that Emhoff cheated on his first wife and mother of his two children around 2008. Emhoff admitted the affair after the story was published, but denied all the other claims.
Emhoff later appeared in a television interview after the allegations were reported, where he addressed the claims had struck his ex-girlfriend, calling the allegations a “distraction.” The second gentleman was asked by MSNBC host Joe Scarborough on ‘Morning Joe’ to respond to the stories regarding the claimed assault.
However, he refused to clear up the reports, instead asserting the allegations are attempting to disrupt Harris’ bid for the presidency. “We don’t have time to be p—– off,” Emhoff said in response. “We don’t have time to focus on it. It’s all a distraction. It’s designed to try to get us off our game.”
Ben Stiller and Andy Cohen have been contacted for comment and are yet to address the claim publicly.
