Stefon Diggs and Jaire Alexander were seen getting into each other’s faces before shouting at one another as their long-standing feud continued before the Houston Texans took on the Green Bay Packers.

Diggs, who was traded this offseason to join the Texans from the Buffalo Bills, has a history of getting into it with cornerbacks – with his biggest rival being Packers standout Alexander. The two met regularly in Alexander’s first two years in the league when Diggs played for the Minnesota Vikings.

They had numerous fierce battles in that time. But their on-the-field scuffle on Sunday might have stemmed from the last time they met, a tough battle in 2022 when Diggs played for the Bills.

In that game, the two could be seen running out on to the field together as they shouted in each other’s faces before a game in which Diggs had an impressive performance in with 108 yards and a touchdown. However, Alexander also had a strong performance, and had not lined up against the receiver in the game.

Speaking after the game, Alexander told reporters: “I was just keeping it real with (Diggs). I told him he couldn’t mess with me, he a little boy. That’s all that was, just being honest. I’ve always thought he was a decent receiver… I don’t really got much else to say about him.”

Asked about Alexander’s quotes, Diggs responded: “I used to play (Green Bay) in the past, so it wasn’t something I anticipated, (Alexander) doing the shit that he did. I don’t give a f— who started it, I finished it. I got the win”.

Jaire Alexander regularly goes at Diggs when they match up

Before the game on Sunday, Diggs was asked about his battle with Alexander, as he responded: “I could say, ‘Yeah,’ but it’s no different approach than any other week.

“I’m not going out there trying to prove nothing that I ain’t trying to prove each and every other week, every play, every day, try to earn it during the week in practice. I don’t really get into all that extra (stuff).”

Regardless of playing down their feud, the pair were involved in another flashpoint. It only added intrigue to a fascinating battle between two of the NFL’s most high-powered offenses.
