Adding to the intrigue, Adams was notably absent from a pre-game speech delivered by Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce the night before their matchup with the Broncos.
This absence only fueled speculation that Adams had already mentally and emotionally “checked out” of the Raiders organization. His desire to leave the team was well known, as he had publicly expressed his frustration with the direction of the franchise and had requested a trade.
