In a 2016 interview with Australian radio station KIIS FM, Liam recounted an unsettling experience with Sean Diddy Combs. He attended an event where Diddy was present, along with Jay Z and Leonardo DiCaprio. Describing the encounter, Payne shared, “I went over to speak to him and Jay-Z, and as I shook his hand, he just chuckled… the most evil laugh I’ve ever heard.
” Payne admitted that the experience left him feeling intimidated, joking, “So, I’m a little bit fearful of that man.” He also remarked that he had initially thought P. Diddy would be “a safe bet” but quickly realized he was mistaken. Payne revisited this story during an appearance on The Graham Norton Show, where he shared the couch with Salma Hayek and David Walliams. Social media users have even highlighted Salma’s reaction to his retelling, which has since gone viral on the platform X. Currently, Sean Diddy Combs is held at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center, facing charges including sex trafficking, harassment, and racketeering.
