For the first time, Netflix will air NFL games as the streaming service broadcasts a pair of Christmas Day matchups.

Per The Athletic’s Andrew Marchand, the crew for the two games will be Ian Eagle and Noah Eagle as play-by-play broadcasters and J.J. Watt, Greg Olsen and Nate Burleson as analysts.

Ian Eagle, Burelson and Watt will have the early game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Pittsburgh Steelers while Noah Eagle and Olsen will be on the call for the late contest between the Baltimore Ravens and Houston Texans.

Watt, who retired from the NFL following the 2022 season, made his broadcasting debut last season as a studio analyst for CBS Sports. Both he, Ian Eagle and Burleson work for CBS, but will be paid by Netflix for their coverage of the Christmas Day games.

Likewise, Noah Eagle works for NBC and Olsen works for Fox Sports. According to Marchand, Fox considered barring Olsen from working the Christmas Day games for Netflix but eventually granted permission.

Along with the play-by-play commentators and analysts, Netflix is expected to have sideline reporters for both games, per Marchand.

Netflix paid $150 million for the two Christmas Day games and will stream at least one Christmas Day game in 2025 and 2026 as part of a three-season deal.

While it will be the first time Netflix has aired NFL games, the streaming service has previously delved into the world of football.

It is home to the 2023 series “Quarterback,” which followed NFL quarterbacks like Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and others throughout the 2022 season, and the 2024 series “Receivers,” which followed players like Davante Adams, Justin Jefferson and more throughout the 2023 season.
