DeAndre Hopkins’ name has been circulating in trade rumors in recent weeks, but the star wide receiver is content with the Tennessee Titans.

Per Jim Wyatt of the team’s website, Hopkins was asked about his interest in a potential trade, to which he responded with his admiration of his current situation.

“I love my life. I love where I am,” Hopkins said. “God put me where I need to be, and He always will. I play football.”

A handful of teams have been linked to Hopkins since the start of the season, including the injury-ridden Kansas City Chiefs, who reportedly wanted Hopkins “badly” in free agency, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

The Pittsburgh Steelers reportedly would have interest in Hopkins as well if he’s made available for a trade, per ESPN’s Dan Graziano.

The veteran receiver hasn’t had the best start to the season, recording just 14 receptions for 175 yards through five games, though his early struggles aren’t entirely on him.

His quarterback situation is less than ideal as Will Levis has just 699 passing yards, which ranks 30th in the NFL, and has thrown more interceptions (7) than touchdowns (5). Hopkins leads the Titans in receiving yards, but would likely have a lot more if he were in a better offense.

Hopkins is also playing through an injury as he revealed in September that he has a torn MCL.

For Hopkins, a five-time Pro Bowler who has seven seasons with 1,000 or more receiving yards, requesting a trade and joining a team with a better player under center would likely be the easier route, but he’s happy where he is right now and it appears he has no interest in playing elsewhere.

Should he change his mind after this season, he’ll be a free agent in March.
