Bursting out in laughter at the idea of joining Arsenalsoccer star Neymar is clearly enjoying his time in Saudi Arabia.

While soaking in the scene at the Beterbiev vs. Bivol fight in Riyadh, the former Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain star didn’t seem too keen on the prospect. The now Al-Hilal player, who sealed a transfer during the summer of 2023, witnessed Beterbiev snatch an unexpected win, becoming the undisputed light-heavyweight champ right from ringside.

Neymar was spotted next to boxing bigwig Frank Warren, the brains behind Queensberry, chuckling during a quick interview amidst the camera flashes. Warren cheekily nudged towards a Premier League dream, declaring in front of lenses that Neymar could be set for an English move.

“This is the man, he’s coming to England,” hinted Warren, with all eyes on them. “He’s going to play for Arsenal.”

Not skipping a beat, Neymar simply laughed it off, while Warren persisted: “We need you, we need you.” To which Neymar coyly responded: “I’m back, I’m back.”

Amidst his comeback trail post-ACL injury, the Brazilian icon has recently rejoined training. His time at Al-Hilal has been brief so far, limited to just five outings after an ACL tear marred his performance 12 months prior during Brazil’s World Cup qualifier against Uruguay.

The 2015 Champions League winner is already in the last stretch of his contract with the Saudi team, having inked a lucrative two-year deal. Al-Hilal’s coach Jorge Jesus isn’t expecting Neymar to hit the pitch again until 2025, amid reports of a chilly rapport between the two.

Despite this, Neymar hasn’t hidden his fondness for the Premier League, even hinting at a desire to join the fray. “The Premier League is a championship that amazes me,” he shared back in 2017. “I like the playing style and the teams.

“And who knows? Someday, I would like to play [in] it, yes. I admire Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool – these are the teams that are always there fighting.”
