NBA G League player R.J. Hampton has found himself in the midst of a troubling controversy after admitting on camera that he left “bruises” on his ex, Tiffany Jeffcoat, the mother of his child. The incident, captured on video, has gone viral and sparked serious concerns about Hampton’s behavior toward his former partner.
On Monday, Jeffcoat, a social media influencer with over 1.5 million followers on TikTok, shared a video in which she confronts Hampton. In the video, Jeffcoat claims that the former NBA first-round draft pick was attempting to take their 1-year-old son, Halo, away from her during their travels. The video shows their son playing nearby as tensions rise between the ex-couple.
During the confrontation, Hampton, 23, can be heard shouting at Jeffcoat, “Shut the f–k up talking to me, bitch! Please!” Despite Jeffcoat recording the interaction, Hampton appeared unconcerned, responding, “I don’t care if you got me on recording. I could care less.”
The confrontation escalated when Hampton expressed fear that Jeffcoat would accuse him of abusing her. Jeffcoat responded by saying, “First of all, you have put hands on me before,” to which Hampton angrily replied, “Get the f–k outta here with that stupid s–t.” Jeffcoat then reminded him that she had photographic evidence of the bruises he allegedly left on her arms. Hampton, seemingly unfazed, dismissed her concerns, stating, “Of course they did. Did I punch you? Did I slap you? So shut the f–k up!”
The video continued with Jeffcoat calmly pointing out, “Just because you didn’t punch me doesn’t mean that’s OK.” Hampton’s dismissive attitude only fueled the tension, as he went on to insult Jeffcoat’s mother, stating that he didn’t care if his son’s grandmother was “dead or alive.”

In another TikTok post, Jeffcoat shared more about her struggles with Hampton, claiming that he left her stranded in Oklahoma without a hotel or car after taking their son. “R.J. literally snatched Halo off the ground, walked out, hopped in the car and left,” she said.
According to Jeffcoat, Hampton did not tell her where he was going and left without taking any of his son’s belongings. “He’s not allowed to do that,” she added, noting that her attempts to involve the police were unsuccessful as they deemed the situation a “civil matter.”
Jeffcoat’s videos quickly gained attention on social media, prompting many to voice their concerns about Hampton’s behavior. In the wake of the viral posts, Hampton turned off the comments on his Instagram, adding to the speculation and concern surrounding the incident.
While the nature of Hampton and Jeffcoat’s previous relationship remains largely private, this public fallout has brought their co-parenting struggles into the spotlight.
Jeffcoat has not hesitated to share her side of the story with her followers, while Hampton has yet to respond publicly to the accusations.
