Taylor Swift game days are set to return, according to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce! The NFL star hinted at the pop sensation’s upcoming appearance during his Eighty-Seven and Running Foundation’s “Kelce Car Jam 2024” event on Saturday, October 5. While Swift wasn’t present at the charity event, Kelce confirmed to a fan that she will be attending his next game in Kansas City.
In a lighthearted exchange with an attendee, who asked, “Is Taylor here?” Kelce, who was celebrating his 35th birthday at the event, responded with a smile, “She will not be here right now. I know she’s coming in for the game.” The highly anticipated matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New Orleans Saints on Monday, October 7, will mark the third time this season that Swift has cheered on Kelce and the Chiefs from the stands.
Swift’s previous two appearances at Chiefs home games this season, including one alongside Kelce’s family, made headlines as fans speculated about their budding relationship. However, she missed two of the team’s away games. Kelce’s excitement about Swift’s attendance underscores the mutual support the two stars have shown each other, both on the football field and on the concert stage.
In fact, Swift has been a regular presence at Chiefs games, having attended 15 of Kelce’s games, including their Super Bowl win in February. Meanwhile, Kelce has reciprocated by showing up at multiple stops on Swift’s “Eras Tour.” Most recently, Swift was spotted at the Chiefs’ September 15 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, just before taking a brief break from her tour.
Though Swift will be in the stands at the Chiefs-Saints game, she wasn’t able to make it to Kelce’s charity block party over the weekend. The 14-time Grammy winner is currently on a short hiatus from her record-breaking “Eras Tour” after wrapping the European leg in August. She’s set to resume performances in Miami on October 18, followed by shows in New Orleans, Indianapolis, and Canada before concluding the tour in Vancouver on December 8.
Kelce’s charity event, “Kelce Car Jam 2024,” was a huge success, showcasing some of Kansas City’s top cars, including a few of Kelce’s own.
The proceeds from the event will benefit the Eighty-Seven and Running Foundation, an organization that Kelce founded to empower disadvantaged youth. The foundation focuses on providing resources and support in areas such as education, business, athletics, STEM, and the arts, helping young people achieve their potential and succeed in life.
Like Kelce, Swift has been making waves with her charitable efforts. While in Europe for her tour, Swift made several significant donations to food banks during her U.K. shows.
Her contributions reportedly helped provide emergency food parcels to more than 900 people, with one charity using Swift’s donation to purchase “one and a half articulated lorries full of food.” The pop superstar’s philanthropic efforts have been well-documented throughout her career, and her latest donation serves as another example of her generosity.
