An exotic dancer who says she worked at Floyd Mayweather’s Las Vegas-based gentleman’s club, Girl Collection, has filed a lawsuit against the former boxing champion, alleging that he slapped her in the face during a confrontation over unpaid wages. The dancer, Jasmine Woodward, filed the lawsuit on Monday in Clark County, Nevada, detailing the alleged incident that took place at the venue on April 23, 2023.
According to the lawsuit, the altercation began when Woodward approached Mayweather to discuss the club’s failure to compensate her for shifts she had worked earlier in the weekend. Instead of addressing her concerns, Woodward claims Mayweather became upset and, in front of other dancers and patrons on the club’s floor, allegedly slapped her in the face.
Shocked and distressed, Woodward says she retreated to the club’s locker room in tears, but Mayweather followed her. During a subsequent conversation, she expressed her frustration over the alleged slap, to which Mayweather reportedly responded by telling her she couldn’t “take a joke.”
Woodward claims the incident didn’t just end with the slap. She says she was later fired from the club, escalating her grievances against Mayweather and his business. Another dancer, Brittany Strauss, has joined Woodward as a plaintiff in the lawsuit.
Together, they are accusing Mayweather and his sister, Deltricia Howard, who helps manage the club, of additional labor violations, including failing to pay minimum wages and illegally withholding some of their tips.

The two women are seeking back pay as well as unspecified damages, citing assault, battery, and violations of labor laws.
Floyd Mayweather, through his representative Felton Newell, has vehemently denied all the allegations. Newell issued a statement to The Athletic, describing the claims as entirely false. “This is nothing more than a legal shakedown. Mr. Mayweather looks forward to the opportunity to prove in court that these allegations are false,” Newell said.
The lawsuit has now set the stage for a legal battle that pits Mayweather, who has faced numerous legal disputes throughout his career, against former employees who are not only accusing him of physical assault but also of unfair labor practices at his club.
As the case progresses, it could shine a spotlight on both Mayweather’s management of his business and the treatment of employees in the entertainment and nightlife industry.
Mayweather’s team has signaled their readiness to defend the claims, but the lawsuit raises serious accusations that will likely draw significant attention as the legal process unfolds.
