The owner said that through research he discovered that this dog was originally rescued in Texas and that his assumption is that the mother is a Labrador
From the research I have done it seems that they got this breed through artificial insemination the owner said in his interview for Newsweek My guess would be that the mother would be the Lab
This is also confirmed by the Wag article stating that this breed is a cross between a female Labrador Retriever and a male Chihuahua and that theyre bred via artificial insemination due to the parent breeds different sizes

Doing a bit deeper research about this breed reveals that they are small to mediumsized dogs They can grow up to eight inches and weigh around 65 pounds
Their life expectancy is 15 years and they are quite expensive dogs reaching the price of around 1000 This is perhaps the best proof of how special a dog like this is
