They say you never forget your childhood dog, and Ludo certainly makes his presence felt among his hooman siblings!
This sweet Husky Akita mix truly embodies the role of his family’s best friend, and he does it with so much love.
Everything began when his owner, Tia Layock, welcomed her first baby, Jaxon. Ludo naturally switched into his nanny mode, and the rest, as they say, is history!
Now, Ludo has a brand-new role in life. He checks on his siblings every night to make sure they fall asleep safely!
Ludo, The Goodest Big Brother
Ludo’s role as a nanny began with Jaxon, but it soon expanded when his owners welcomed another baby into the world – a little girl named Bonnie!
In a video posted on TikTok by Tia, Ludo can be seen moving between the siblings just to ensure they were okay. He slowly walked into their room, took a few gentle steps over to their bed, and then gave them a little sniff.
Once he made sure that his siblings were sound asleep, he slowly walked away and then made himself comfortable by the door and guarded them until they were awake.
He repeats this little ritual every night, usually accompanied by his mom or dad.
“No bond like a dog and his kid,” the video caption says.
Sometimes, Ludo even gives his hoomans a little kiss on the cheek and wishes them a good night.
Layock’s video of Ludo being the sweetest guardian soon took the internet by storm, melting the hearts of millions of people all over the world!
“He will always protect them,” one TikTok user wrote.
“You have a home filled with presence, care, respect, belonging and SO MUCH LOVE,” another one added.
His owners thought Ludo’s ritual was exclusive to Jaxon, but this amazing Huskita proved them wrong in the sweetest way possible. Two years later, he’s still the same good boi who keeps guarding both of his siblings with the same level of enthusiasm.
“Two years on he’s still the GOODEST boy! Except now he has 2 babies to check on,” Tia wrote in another TikTok post.
Never Leaving His Siblings’ Side
Aside from being the best guardian angel at night, Ludo never neglects his daily job either!
Between having a blast with his family and taking daily walks, Ludo always makes sure to keep an eye on Jaxon and Bonnie. He accompanies them pretty much everywhere they go, plays with them, walks with them, and helps them navigate through every stage of life.
It is safe to say that Ludo is not just a nanny, but the best big brother that everyone wishes they had.
And, the best thing of all – everything he does, he does it naturally!
Ludo isn’t exclusively trained for this role in his life. Quite the contrary – he guards his siblings intuitively and acts upon his instincts.
Even though he’s been with the family for so long, Ludo still continues to surprise his owners on a daily basis. He’s long past the label of a pet. Ludo is an equal family member who participates, helps, and makes their life as sweet as possible!
