Brittany Mahomes has left followers puzzled on social media after uploading a cryptic post on Thursday, with some fans wondering if it might have something to do with Taylor Swift.
Mahomes and Swift became close friends last year through watching their Kansas City Chiefs superstar partners – Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce – but talk of a rift between the WAGs emerged at the start of this season when they sat separately at Arrowhead Stadium.
At the heart of fans’ theories was an Instagram post from Donald Trump’s presidential campaign that was liked by Brittany. Swift, however, has leaned Democrat over the years and has since endorsed Kamala Harris ahead of November’s election.

The pair have since moved to dispel rumors of a rift, attending Patrick’s 29th birthday party as well as the U.S. Open tennis at Flushing Meadows together. And according to the Daily Mail, Swift and Mrs. Mahomes agreed on a “pact” not to discuss their political differences in August.
But Brittany had some interesting words to share on social media on Thursday, posting a quote to her Instagram story which read: “Be the reason why people believe in beautiful souls, kind hearts, and good energy. Never stop being a good person.”
GOP nominee Trump has made his feelings clear on the WAGs since the rumors of friction between the two emerged. In the aftermath of Swift’s endorsement of Harris, he wrote on his Truth social media platform: “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT!”

In an appearance on “Fox & Friends”, Trump was asked directly about Swift and said: “Well, I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better, if you want to know the truth,” adding that Brittany is a “Big Trump fan”.
But music icon Swift’s endorsement of Harris could play a significant role in what is set to be an extremely tight election. Her endorsement of Harris gained more than 11 million likes on Instagram and caused a surge in online traffic of people registering to vote.
Swift said after the Sept. 11 debate between Trump and Harris: “I will be casting my vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the 2024 Presidential Election. I’m voting for Kamala Harris because she fights for the rights and causes that I believe need a warrior to champion them.
“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos. I was so heartened and impressed by her selection of running mate Tim Walz, who has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights, IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades.”
