Anthony Joshua and Dubois Go Head to Head: Exploring Odds, Live Stream Details, KO Insights, and Judges’ Scorecard Predictions .giang

Boxing’s heavyweight division will take center stage in London this weekend when IBF champion Daniel Dubois looks to pull off an upset and successfully defend his title against Anthony Joshua.

For Joshua, it’s a return to his home country after back-to-back bouts in Saudi Arabia. He hasn’t fought at Wembley Stadium since September 2018.

For Dubois, it’s a chance to break into a different tier of heavyweight fighter. He was given the IBF championship after Oleksandr Usyk vacated the title. Dubois was the interim holder by virtue of an eighth-round TKO win over Filip Hrgovic in June.

The heavyweight division has provided some memorable fights recently, and Joshua was last seen in the ring with UFC champion Francis Ngannou in March.

Now he’ll look to add another world title to his resume against a more dangerous opponent in Dubois. Here’s a look at the odds and information to catch this bout.

Daniel Dubois will walk into this fight with the belt, but Anthony Joshua is the favorite.

The champion is a dangerous underdog, though. At 27, he’s seven years younger than Joshua and has put in strong performances in each of his last two fights, but he has a penchant for coming up short against the best he’s faced.

Dubois is 21-2 with his two losses coming to Joe Joyce back in 2020 and a ninth-round knockout loss to Oleksandr Usyk in a bout for the WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles in August 2023.

Since then, Dubois has knocked out Jarrell Miller and Filip Hrgovic and opened the door for a chance to reassert himself in the conversation at the top of the division.

He understands just how big a win over the former champions could be for his career.

“I need to retain it and hold on to it. I need to legitimize myself by winning this fight,” Dubois said, per James Regan of ESPN. “It’s a resurrection story of my career. I just want the biggest challenges and make a name for myself and create history.”

If Dubois is going to pull off the upset, it’s going to be because of his impressive power and the result of his improvement. He isn’t the finished product given his age and experience, while Joshua might be at the end of his peak.

Unfortunately for Dubois, Joshua at his peak is a great heavyweight fighter. But the 34-year-old has struggled with consistency, hesitancy and motivation at different times in his career. It was a combination of all three that led to his upset loss to Andy Ruiz in June 2019.

But Joshua has seemingly regained his confidence and been the best version of himself under the tutelage of Ben Davison after cycling through a few trainers. That should lead to a performance that will add to his legacy.

This is going to be an exciting fight between two heavy-handed power punchers who are going to respect each other’s power.

That kind of fight favors Joshua, who is just a little more tactical and has a tighter defense. That should be enough to set up a potential championship contest between him and the winner of the Usyk-Tyson Fury bout, which is scheduled for December 21.
