It’s been said many times that this world can be a cold and cruel place for dogs, and it will be very hard to change that.
Given that dogs were meant to be with us as companions, it’s unnatural for so many of them to live out their lives as strays where they are forced to scavenge every day just to survive.
Regardless, it is our duty to be there for them and try to help them fight a new path in life. Sometimes, all it takes is a little encouragement.
Other times, it takes a lot more than that, but knowing that the power to help has always been in our hands can be encouraging. All we have to do is give them a chance and they can change our lives.
For this sweet mama dog, life was not going too well. Her puppies were taken away from her and she was depressed. Luckily, everything would change when she ended up meeting someone special.
Road To A New Life
It was a very ordinary day for this rescuer who was just minding her own business when she saw something on the road that shocked her.
At first, it just looked like a dark lump of fur, but she then realized it was a dog who had been trying to find something. She looked really sick and had a lot of skin problems.
The woman got out of her vehicle and tried to help the sweet pup, but she just looked confused the whole time, like something had gone terribly wrong for her.
She and the other rescuer who came to assist figured out that she must have been looking for her babies, but she couldn’t find them.
They, too, started looking but were not successful. The poor mama dog started to get desperate, so she just lay down and waited.
Realizing there was not much more they could do, given that the puppies were nowhere to be found, they took the mama dog back to the clinic where she would receive medical care.
Hopeful Results
The vet did confirm that she had given birth very recently, and now it was almost certain that someone took her puppies away from her.
Test results for the mama dog revealed that she had some serious heart, stomach, and chest problems. She will need a long treatment in order to recover.
Her rescuers noticed that she was not eating anything and there was little they could do to make her eat. She was just so sad the whole time. It made everyone feel bad for her.
After a few more days, the rescuers thought it might not be a bad idea to go back to the place where they found her and let her search for the puppies.
While there was little hope that they would find anything, they did it anyway. It raised the dog’s spirit and she started searching. Her rescuers asked around but nobody knew anything.
After a while, they went back to the shelter and noticed that the dog’s mood improved after a few days.
Lilien Has Transformed
She was starting to live again, even though she suffered through a terrible loss. The rescuers were glad to see her improvement. The antibiotics they gave her also helped fix her skin problems. They gave her a new name: Lilien.
Her kind rescuers made her a small house where she loved relaxing. Given that she had house manners, they assumed that she was in a home before.
With their care, Lilien transformed in practically no time into the most beautiful dog. This meant that she was now eligible for adoption.
The people who cared for her all this time made sure that she found the best family ever, and she is now living a completely new life where she gets to finally just enjoy her life.
Even though she had been through a terrible tragedy in her life, I am so glad Lilien has recovered and is finally doing well. I hope everything turns out okay for her.
