I have seen many stories where dogs are outright abused or neglected, but I could never understand how someone could care so little for their lives.
It is so horrible to see just how much some people lack empathy toward other animals and how they would outright ignore them even when they need help.
This stray pup was just one such example. He was hit by a car near a road. The driver stopped, moved her away from the road, and left.
The poor dog was paralyzed and couldn’t even move on her own because it caused her so much pain. However, a kind person noticed her suffering and called for help.
A Cry For Help
When the rescuers finally came to the scene, they noted just how sad the dog looked. She was stuck there for five days without any help.
After approaching her, she looked so happy to see someone who was willing to help her. It was really hot outside, and sudden rains were also not uncommon.
Who knows how much the poor pup was struggling at that time? It’s really depressing just to think about it.
The rescuer realized that it was probably dangerous to move the pup alone, so she called for a vet to examine her before they tried anything.
They examined her and suspected that her spine was broken. Without proper help at the clinic, there was little they could do.
So, they carefully transferred her into a vehicle. At the clinic, they transferred her into a kennel so she could rest while they figured out what to do next.
She looked a little confused but otherwise grateful that these amazing people came to help her. The veterinarians did an X-ray to confirm what was really going on.
Apparently, the pup had fractures to three vertebrae, and her spinal cord was also crushed. Her health was also not great because she was a struggling stray dog.
The rescuer asked the veterinarians about her chances. They said that she had a very small chance of ever recovering.
Snezhana Is A Miracle
Over the next few days, the pup rested, and her rescuer was there with her the whole time. This sweet stray was just so depressed that she was unable to move.
For anyone to suffer this much and go through what she did is a tragedy. However, if anyone is going to help her, it’s the vet and her rescuer.
After treatment, the swelling in her back went down. She receives injections and fluids every day. They also removed all of the ticks and fleas from her body.
The dog, now named Snezhana, was now beginning to slowly heal. Even though moving was physically painful for her, she was making some small progress.
A little over a month later, the veterinarians had some excellent news. The sensitivity in her paws was returning, and she is doing a bit better now.
This news made everyone even more hopeful that she would recover. They continued the amazing treatment they have been doing for Snezhana.
With regular exercise, she is slowly starting to rely on her paws. Over four months later, she has accomplished a miracle.
This amazing dog can actually move around for a bit using her whole body. It’s just incredible. The rescuers and the veterinarians couldn’t be more proud of her.
Snezhana is also a lot happier now and enjoys walking around all the time. She is so grateful to her rescuers for giving her this chance, even if it was a small one.
Even though complete recovery was impossible for her, she now has her amazing rescuer at her side, who has decided to adopt her and will always be there for her.
